It’s been two years since the hip hop community lost MC heavyweight and Brownsville, Brooklyn native Sean Price. In honor of his legacy, our good friends at Duck Down just released his posthumous album “Imperius Rex” with a lengthy list of features by Prodigy, Method Man, Raekwon, Styles P, Ruste Juxx, Buckshot, Vic Spencer, Junior Reed, Freeway, Smif-N-Wessun, Rock, Inspectah Deck, and his wife Bernadette Price. The album combines well-known Sean Price qualities: smart-ass rap verses, iconic ad-libs, and an unapologetically east coast sound that continues to influence today’s rap artists.

Along with the release of “Imperius Rex”, Duck Down also shared the music video for “Dead or Alive” – the single features vocals by Sean Price’s wife Bernadette. The video pays homage to the iconic rapper with actor Michael Rapaport, friend and fan of Price, as a news reporter on location at the Brownsville “Zoo”.
